Earlier this month we had a short holiday in Scotland. We stayed in Annan in Dumfries and Galloway, in my sister's house on the edge of town. Plenty of birds at the feeders to keep us entertained. Nice to get close views of various species, such as the Woodpigeon Columba palumbus (N=ringdue) that features in the series of photos below. It spent some time just sitting in the bird bath, only occasionally preening and cleaning itself a bit.
