Between 21st and 24th February we were in Trysil, Hedmark county. There were plenty of owl around including Northern Hawk Owl
Surnia ulula (N=haukugle), Pygmy Owl
Glaucidium passerinum (N=spurveugle) and a single calling Tengmalm's Owl
Aegolius funereus (N=perleugle). Both Hawk Owl and Pygmy Owl are often active in daylight, allowing a few photo opportunities. Although not seen, the Tengmalm's Owl calld in mid-afternoon on one occasion. During the trip I logged 7 Hawk, 3 Pygmy and 1 Tengmalm's Owl. 3 of the Hawk Owls were within a radius of about 400 metres.
