Otter and Sea Scorpion

During the past two weeks or so, two Otters Lutra lutra (N=oter) have been seen regularly at Midtsandan, Malvik. A week ago I watched them for exactly one hour, and during that time they caught a total of nine Short-tailed Sea Scorpions Myoxocephalus scorpius (N=vanlig ulke). This morning I saw two otters, one of which swam towards me with its prey (Short-tailed Sea Scorpions). The otter came up onto land quite close to where I was sitting, before it swam a little farther away to eat breakfast in peace.
