Variable weather today with wind, rain, hail and clear spells. I got a bit wet from sea-spray and a rising tide whilst photographing Purple Sandpipers
Calidris maritima (N=fjæreplytt). The sandpipers didn't seem to mind getting a bit wet, and neither did I.
The atmospheric conditions with the right winds and ice crystals in the air were perfect for formations of mother of pearl clouds, an unusual an beautiful sight.
