Waxwings

Working from home can have its dividends. For a start the view is much nicer than from my office in town. And then there are the birds. Today (Wednesday 24th February) a flock of 12 Waxwings Bombycilla garrulus (N=sidensvans) spent a few minutes feeding in the garden. They were foraging on the ground, which is pretty frozen, so I am unsure what they are feeding on. Possibly some wind-blown seeds from my feeders. Anyway, I managed to rattle off a few photos before they moved on.
