Waders

Spring sees the return of migrant birds form their wintering grounds farther south. Each day brings something new. One of my favourite bird groups is waders. Below is a selection of wader photographs taken in May. (Regular readers may not the lack of any Purple Sandpipers this time - they are all away on the breeding grounds).
