Otter

Today I took a break from office work and went for a walk down to the edge of the fjord to Midtsandtangen which is just below our house. I had spent some time watching small birds in bushes by the shore before I noticed something larger - an otter Lutra lutra  (N=oter). The otter was eating a flatfish, probably a flounder. The otter was quite close to where I stood, and seemed oblivious to my presence. The photos below were taken using a compact digital camera hand-held to the telescope eyepiece.
