The merry month of May

We are now into June, and it is time to look back to the previous month. May was a busy time for me, and a busy time for birds too. Here are some of my favourite photos from the month that was.

Flying geese 4 - Barnacle Goose Branta leucopsis (N=hvitkinngås), Tenna, Nordland

Flying raptor 1 - White-tailed Eagle Haliaeetus albicilla (N=havørn), Sør-Herøy, Nordland

Flying raptor 2 - Common Kestrel Falco tinnunculus (N=tårnfalk), Tenna, Nordland

Flying raptor 3 - Rough-legged Buzzard Buteo lagopus (N=fjellvåk), Sør-Herøy, Nordland

Red-footed Falcon Falco vespertinus (N=aftenfalk), Skogn, Nord-Trøndelag

...and the same bird perched. 2nd calendar year male, and a rarity to boot.
