Gulls

Many people don't give gulls a second glance. But gulls are interesting. Today at Hommelvik, Malvik (Sør-Trøndelag) I found a colour-ringed Black-headed Gull Larus ridibundus (N=hettemåke) and a nice little group of mixed gulls including three different Iceland Gulls Larus glaucoides (N=grønlandsmåke).

Black-headed Gull with colour-ring white J25Y. Ringed as a chick in Ørland, Sør-Trøndelag in 2004. Observed at Hommelvik, Malvik, Sør-Trøndelag on both 3rd and 20th March 2012. Distance from ringing site is 72 kilometres NE from Hommelvik.
