Mid-June in Malvik

The breeding season is well under way for many species and, although not particularly warm, there are a few insects around. A few photos from the last ten days or so below.

Mallard female Anas platyrhynchos (N=stokkand), Stavsjøen, Malvik

And here is one of her young :-)

Common Gull adult Larus canus (N=fiskemåke), Hommelvik, Malvik.
And one of the pair of gulls babies ;-)

Pair of House Sparrows Passer domesticus (N=gråspurv), Midtsandan, Malvik. It is little over one week since their first brood fledged and flew the nest.

Four-spotted Chaser Libellula quadrimaculata, Venntjønna, Malvik.

Northern Damslefly Coenagrion hastulatum, Snustaddammen, Malvik.
