I went for a walk along the river Nidelva in Trondheim this morning before I headed to the office. Had some nice views of a group of three Goosanders
Mergus merganser (N=laksand), of which two were males and one was a female. These birds are used to being fed bread by the public, but I was there well before the first crust-throwers appeared. Goosanders normally eat fish. The bright early morning sunlight made photographing the males rather tricky.
Two goosanders, the female on the left, male on the right.
