The little flock of Purple Sandpipers
Calidris maritima (N=fjæreplytt) at Midtsandan (Malvik, Sør-Trøndelag) were extremely approachable today. They were also very active, and they squabbled quite a bit. The ringed bird (with leg flag lime HNU) was ringed at Longyearbyen, Svalbard in August 2010 and has been seen at Midtsandan every winter since ringing.
