More signs of spring

A few signs of spring form the last week or so:

Seabird numbers have started to build up in the inner part of the Trondheimsfjord. Here a flock of mixed ducks and gulls at Midtsandan, which are feeding on herring spawn. The photo is taken from our house yesterday (29th March).

Common Eiders with a single King Eider Somateria spectabilis (N=praktærfugl) (the bird with the two "sails" on its back is the King Eider) and a young Herring Gull Larus argentatus (N=gråmåke). Midtsandan 28.03.2014.
