On Monday 22nd April I was in Trondheim for a few hours. Took a walk to the river that runs through town (Nidelva) and had some wonderful close-up views of a male Northern Pintail
Anas acuta (N=stjertand). In the absence of any females of his own kind, he was seen displaying to female Mallard
Anas platyrhynchos (N=stokkand) on several occasions.
